Synopsis
Un couple d’une cinquantaine d’année est assis à la table d’une salle à manger. Il le journal, elle fume. Dans la cuisine, elle verse des lentilles sur la table et commence leur tri. Il la rejoint un instant, il lui demande " Qu’est-ce que tu as ?", elle répond " Je souris". Il sort son verre à la main, marche dans le jardin, jusqu’au bassin. Le tri fini, elle mange des dattes avec douceurs, puis retourne à la salle à manger.
A fifty year old couple is sitting at a dining room table. He is reading the paper, she is smoking. In the kitchen, she spread lentils on the table and starts sorting them out. He goes over to see her and asks "what is up with you?" and she answers "I’m smiling". He walks out, a glass in his hand, walks in the yard, to the pool. When she is done sorting out, she eats dates gently, and then returns to the dining room.
Intention
Le ton du récit s’est déplacé, affirmé dans une réalité doublée un sur-réel. L’accompagnement musical, électronique, et la pure expression des corps, rappelant le cinéma muet, sont réactivés dans un récit décentré. Silence, dilution, expansion hors des mots : conditions de la possibilité des la sensation et du sentiment. Le motif de l’eau, toujours présent, est une réflexion du réel et de l’imaginaire.
The tone of the account shifts, asserted by a sur-real reality. The electronic music and the pure bodily expression, reminding one of silent films, are reactivated in a refocused account. Silence, dilution, expansion out of words are essential to the possibility of feeling and sense. Water is always present as a reflection of reality and imagination.
