Emilie Aussel est née à Montpellier en 1980. Elle a suivi des études d’arts aux Beaux-Arts de Montpellier et à la Villa Arson à Nice, et a terminé sa formation en cinéma au Fresnoy – Studio National. Après avoir réalisé des vidéos, des court-métrages, des installations multi-écrans, son travail personnel a évolué vers un cinéma plus narratif. Elle a aussi fait des installations vidéos pour des spectacles de danse, musique et théâtre. Depuis 2009, elle a réalisé trois court-métrages sur la jeunesse et l’expression de ses sentiments : "L’ignorance invincible", "Do you believe in rapture?" et "Petite blonde". Elle développe actuellement son premier long métrage "Un royaume" avec la société Shellac et réalise un nouveau moyen-métrage "Ta bouche mon paradis".
Emilie Aussel was born in Montpellier in 1980. She studied arts at the Beaux-Arts in Montpellier and also at Villa Arson in Nice, and she finished her cinema training at Fresnoy – Studio National. After directing videos, a multi-screen video installation and short films, she moved to a more narrative cinema. She also produced video installations for choreographic, theatrical and musical creations. Since 2009, she directed three short films about youths and the expression of their feelings: "L'ignorance invincible", "Do you believe in rapture?" and "Petite blonde". She is currently developing her first feature film "A kingdom" with the production company Shellac and directs a new medium film "Heaven is your mouth".
