Synopsis
Une relation d’amitié entre trois jeunes personnes, Hilla, Hoover, Hercule, leurs retrouvailles, la raison de leur séparation. Ils ont roulé longtemps, se sont égarés dans un paysage singulier, une jetée de blocs de béton cubiques.
The friendship between three young people, Hilla, Hoover, Hercule, their reunion, the reasons they separate. They drove for a long time and got lost in a singular landscape, a jetty with cubical cement cubes.
Intention
Blade Affection est une circulation entre le film, l'installation vidéo et la performance, une zone à densité variable. Le récit sonde un rapport au paysage (réel, scénographique, mental), propose une expansion de la vision par des coupures et des croisements d’espaces. Il est traversé par la notion de présence à distance, de distance des relations. Le séquençage, l’amplification des sons et des images opèrent sur les liens entre les corps, entre les espaces.
Comment agrandir l’espace de l’action et pouvoir la perdre ?
Qu’est-ce qui est négocié avec le spectateur dans le basculement de l’installation à la performance et ceci par l’intrusion de corps réels, ceux des chanteuses ?
Blade Affection fluctuates between film and performance in a variable density zone. The narration explores a particular relation to the landscape (real, scenic, mental), and offers an expanded vision through the criss-crossing and intertwining of spaces. At its core is the notion of distanced presence, of the distance in relations. Sampling and the amplification of sounds and images reveal their effects on the connections between bodies, between spaces.
How can the space of action be increased, how can it be lost ?
What kind of negotiation takes place with the spectator when the installation lapses into a performance, when real bodies – those of the singers – take over ?
This work was borne of the desire to experiment with saturation, penetrating into the material.
